Today we’d like to introduce you to George Ochoa.
George, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
During my time at Texas Tech, I went through a roller coaster of relationships and everything that comes with that. From intimate relationships to friendships to dealing with grief and loss and everything in between. They want to understand human connections led me to the College of Human Sciences. I enrolled in every course that discussed human relationships in hopes of understanding my own personal relationships. I never went to class thinking “oh I want to be a matchmaker” but as I went through the courses, I realized that date coaching was something that I wanted to explore. My friends would always come to me for relationship advice, so the idea of matchmaking wasn’t too far fetched. Shortly after graduating from Texas Tech, I interviewed with several Matchmakers and decided to work with Houston’s Millionaire Matchmaker. While there I helped facilitate several matches that have ended in long term relationships and even marriages. I have worked with high profile clients front TV personalities to self-made individuals. I then became ordained at the request of clients who wanted to come full circle and have me officiate their weddings. In 2015, I decided to move to Dallas where I have worked with some great clients and have successfully introduced them to the love of their lives.
Has it been a smooth road?
Matchmaking is a hard business – because you deal with humans, you also deal with everything that comes with them; including the not so fun parts such as the ego. The good thing is that I get to choose who I take on as a client and who I do not. Other than that, being a matchmaker is truly rewarding! I One of the most gratifying things about my job is the life lessons my clients teach me. Because I meet with a wide variety of people and because they share with me their highs and lows, I always end up taking away a life lesson from each meeting.

Dallas is the 9th largest city in the US with the population of 1,197,816 (in 2010) and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. With a city this size, there is definitely a need for a company such as VIP Matchmaking Events.
