Thanks for sharing your story with us Gifty. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up as probably one of the best hype girls wherever I went. I loved seeing people smile, happy and just changing the atmosphere to everyone having a good time. Later in life, I learned encouraging people was apart of who I was. Words and the Word became something that I used to remind myself of who I was and I wanted to share that with my friends. Keys became the way I decided to share with my friends, so I looked up what is now our “Signature!” Matt 16:19- “And I will give unto you the KEYS of the Kingdom of Heaven!” There is Power in words and the Word you speak and pray, and your ability to understand the Greatness in you to do so helps manifest those words. Peace, Joy, Love, Authentic, Destiny, Queen, King are all words that you can manifest by believing. I believe that encouragement is something that everyone can use in their life. GiftKeysROCK exist to help bring that Word that is going to help Activate and Manifest in your life!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Oh yes, there have been struggles! One is believing that I can actually have a business. Changing my perspective and mindset on what and how I do things determined if I would be successful. I’ve given away a lot of product. Don’t get me wrong, I still will give away things because of my heart, but I had to handle things differently because I do have a business. This was hard for me. If I didn’t get a grip on this, I would be in the negative and stay there. I had to believe that people will buy what they want and to remember that I have a business that has taxes and fees. This may not be everyone’s struggle, but this was one that challenged me. I understood the struggle and didn’t want to price things high so that anyone could afford my products. I had a few friends tell me, girl your stuff is not high and people will buy what they want. So even though I created a business, I was not functioning in the mindset of one. Whew!! A hard pill to swallow.

GiftKeysROCK has custom jewelry, keychains and our GKR Wear brand has encouraging hats, t-shirts, mugs, and totes. We specialize and are known for our Custom Key Necklaces. As a company, I am most proud of seeing people excited and wearing our brand, and when they let me know how their word has changed their life. What sets GiftKeysROCK apart from others is that we are intentional about everything we create. We are here to Empower, Encourage and help you Declare and Activate Purpose!

Listen, I have had so many people who have supported me and are why I am where I am whether they know it or not. My biggest supporter has been my husband. He is why I have a business and not still giving everything away. He saw the vision for what I shared with him before I did and I am grateful that he pushed me to make it happen. Arnita Johnson-Hall has a book called The Ultimate Business Guide for Entrepreneurs that I used to help establish my business. Prayer and God is what GiftKeysROCK is built on. Too many friends to name individually but I love all of them and my family who cheered me on.
