Meet Greg Dekirmenjian of Positive Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Dekirmenjian.

Greg, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Positive Marketing is a family run specialty and digital printing, custom décor, signs and graphics company. We started out in Canada 30 yrs. ago in the retail construction and design field, which then led to the graphics portion. 3 yrs. ago, we decided to open our 2nd production facility in Los Angeles. After being in the US for 1 year, we decided to relocate the production facility to Dallas, TX. It seemed a better fit logistically, cost of doing business, growth, economically speaking, within the DFW metroplex and the state of TX, pro-business environment.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Struggles are always a factor when starting a business in a foreign market. Technology and experience wise we had no issues due to our Canadian experience. Acquiring new clients was the greatest challenge. Convincing potential clients we can get the job done at a reasonable rate, fast speed, and the multiple products we can produce. Clients always think you’re just another vendor, so I had to convince them that we were an experienced and long-time player within our field, producing high quality goods, and introducing new innovative products.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Positive Marketing – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We specialize in large and wide format digital printing, dye sublimation onto aluminum, fabrics, towels, laser cutting and etching, CNC routing, short run digital color copies, promotional products, trade show graphics and displays and much more, all done in house, for quality control and speed. We recently decided to work with ecofriendly inks and step away from the solvent and toxic smelling inks, giving our employees a toxic free work environment and also contributing to the eco-friendly society. One major competitive advantage we have our clients love about us is the service we offer. The quick communication and response we give, the speedy service we provide since everything is done in house, and most importantly how much we care of the end result of the project, making sure all looks good and done on time. That’s what counts and that’s why our clients keep coming back.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Future plan is to grow grow, grow. We’re still 3 yrs. in the US market and have lots of room to grow. Always keep up with latest technology and offering our clients brand new products.
