Irene, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well, where can I start…
How it all started…
I was having a difficult time finding a good hair stylist. I never could keep one hair stylist for a month for a few reasons either because when I made an appointment, the hair stylist would have other clients waiting when I got there… I really didn’t want to waste a whole day at the salon.
The second thing they wouldn’t do a good enough job and I was spending alot of money every week for my hair up to keep.
I decided to get my hair braided and that came with a huge price tag as well because I could only wear my braids for three weeks or four weeks the most… not to mention the hair breakage, I could no longer do it.
Decided to go to the local beauty supply and see if can start doing my own hair, that’s when I started wearing wigs and yes, after 2-3 weeks, I was back at the beauty supply… they had this wigs for about 200-300 and I decided to purchase two of them only to wear them for a short period of time because when I washed them they were no longer wearable the hair matted.
I could see alot of women talking about good hair on social media, that was so pricey, I couldn’t afford it all. I did browse through the pictures and wish I could get one.
Started watching YouTube videos on how women did their own hair different hairstyles that’s when I came across a few videos where women were doing reviews for different hair vendors and how you can make it a business as well. Decided to hop on the web and started looking for hair vendors, I was excited.
I ended up finding a couple of vendors and purchasing some hair and started selling it from my own home and selling to my co-workers as well. I did wear the hair as well and I can say till today, I can no longer purchase any hair bundles or wigs from the beauty supply, I cannot see myself with anything synthetic just because of the satisfaction I get from wearing human hair is just a different feeling you can watch it curl it dye it straighten it.
I chose to have affordable prices for that average woman like me who wants quality and doesn’t want to break the bank… the market started getting alot competitive because a lot of young women discovered all express and started selling hair bundles as well. With that being said, the market has been saturated with alot of fake hair and its hard for people to trust your product I finally decided to open my shop where I could build trust with my customers and they were at ease knowing that if anything goes wrong with the hair they purchase they know where to find my business unlike meeting up with someone and just getting the hair and handing over your money for bad quality hair and will never see them again…
Not to say, I carry bad quality hair but that’s the main reason I decided to have a suite for my business to build trust.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
NO.
I did encounter a few bumps along the road in the beginning.
When I started, all I wanted to do was sell hair bundles without putting any thought to it. I hopped onto the website looking for a hair vendor without thinking that not all hair vendors offer a good product.
I ended up purchasing the hair that was bad quality and selling it to my customers mainly my friends who wanted to support me.
This was a NIGHTMARE, my dream was crushed.
Ended up tossing that hair in the back of my truck and said to myself I will only use it on my head or sell it to someone who understands that it’s not good hair and priced it at a very low price.
To cut the story short, I did take a huge loss financially and lost credibility with my friends and my day one customer till today…
That’s not what I wanted to put out there. But all in all, I learned from my mistakes and now, I know better, I research a lot before I get any product for my business.

I’m known for selling good quality hair I’m very honest with my clients and they love that.
I’m most proud of not quitting because of the few bumps on the road because my clients have been very supportive and I’m proud of making women feel happy and beautiful. Every single review I get brings me joy and only keeps me pushing and search for more good quality hair for my customers.
What sets me apart from others is a few things I’m very passionate about my business. I want nothing but the best money is not the only motive. We have been tested before we put it out there for our customers.
I guarantee nothing but the best.
I want to run a business that is respected and known for its authenticity and integrity… I care about how my clients feel.

My mom played a huge part and not necessarily been hands-on or putting inputs to my business.
I’m a mother of two wonderful boys and with starting a business and still working a 9-5 job and still a mom it’s very hectic and somehow impossible to move around and working late she has been my helper… she will make sure my kids are fed, bathed, house cleaned and after a long day and night when I get home, all I have to do is rest.
So, I must say my wonderful mom has played a big role.
My sisters and brother have been supportive, they believed I could do it and not once did they ever say it’s not gonna work out and have offered to travel abroad to help me continue my search for raw hair.
