Today we’d like to introduce you to Iris Ramirez.
Hi Iris, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My family has always been the type to get together and have parties and events with our friends, and I somehow always organized and planned these events. So naturally, when my cousin announced he was getting married in 1999, he asked me to help plan and coordinate the wedding. Since then, I have helped coordinate and plan multiple weddings and events, but it wasn’t until 2020 that I officially began my journey and created Siasi Event Planning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are always struggles, but you have to look at it as a learning experience with each challenge. For example, because we are still in our beginning stages(Our first anniversary is in October!), it’s sometimes challenging to have enough dates available to book a wedding or event.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an event planner! I mainly handle weddings and quinceañeras, but I do have the occasional milestone birthday or baby shower. Although I am known for my attention to detail, I ensure the couple or person celebrating is entirely carefree. I’m most proud of the fact that each of my weddings or events has been altogether unique, but most of all, I treasure the lasting relationships I’ve created with my colleges in the industry and my clients. My dedication to every couple is what sets me apart. I truly invest my time, energy, and effort to ensure that their dream wedding or event comes to fruition.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe that what you put into your work(time, effort, dedication), you will get results from it. I have seen how blessed I’ve been because of my work ethic. What I do believe in is the grace and favor that God gives us. I always look to Proverbs 16:3 and can say with conviction how blessed I have been in this past year.
