Today we’d like to introduce you to Itzayana Sanchez.
Itzayana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Itza Texas Thang, started when I was 15 yrs old. It started off as my best friend teaching me how to make door wreaths. Then it went to working in flower shops and learning how to create door swags and that’s how I began decorating peoples front doors. I’ve always enjoyed crafting and decided to expand my creativity so I began making bows for little girls, holiday outfits, shirts and I thought to my self why not go ahead and add a pair of shoes to my craft and that’s when I created my boots ❤️ I pretty much make a little bit of everything, and I feel that’s what sets me a part from so many creators.
Has it been a smooth road?
At first many of my crafts were hard to sell, I remember being left with so many things because people decided they didn’t want them anymore. I was so bummed because I didn’t know what to do or how to make people want my creations. So I started setting myself apart from other creators and started creating more elaborate and detailed creations & it started bringing in more “traffic” I guess you could say.
Please tell us about your work.
My little shop specializes in home decor, children accessories and more. I feel I’m known more for my door wreaths/ garlands and my boots. I’m proud I’ve came this far something I love to do is being loved by other people.
