Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivonne Campos.
Hi Ivonne, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My journey began when the demand of being a mother was higher than pursuing my teaching career. In everyone’s eyes, I was doing great. I graduated college in May 2022 and was offered a teaching position for the district I was working for. Everything was great and I was excited and optimistic about the opportunity. Soon after I found myself taking more and more time off due to my kids getting sick and follow-up appointments. At that time, I had to make a difficult decision and fell into depression. It was until one day I decided to put my creativity to the test. “Why don’t I make Cocoa Bombs? Everyone loves them anyways.” I reached out to a local vendor who posted about “pop-ups.” I had no clue what pop-ups were at the moment. She was very helpful and was genuinely kind. She didn’t know at the time, but her kindness made a huge impact. I was extremely nervous about participating in a pop-up. I remember staying up until 4 am perfecting them. I wanted to stand out. I received so much positive feedback, and the rest is history. It excites me to know how much people love and enjoy them. Especially the little ones. They’re my biggest fans for sure!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a smooth road for the most part. Some days are quiet and then suddenly I’m doing my happy dance because I received an order. As a small business owner, nothing is easy or “smooth.” It’s the thrive and hustle that runs through our blood. We have a commitment to our customers who are our number one supporters.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in making Cocoa Bombs. In other words, I’m your cocoa bomb lady. I am known for making delicious cocoa bombs. I am most proud of the different flavors I can offer other than just milk chocolate or a traditional hot chocolate. What sets me apart from others is, this is all I dedicate myself to do and offer. I take the time to perfect each and every one of the Cocoa bombs I make. I offer traditional cocoa bombs that we can drop in a mug of hot milk and cocoa bomb party favors filled with delicious treats.
Any big plans?
My plans for the future is to build relationships and reach customers located anywhere in the country. I want everyone to enjoy my delicious cocoa bombs and cocoa bomb treats!
