Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Levine.
Jacqueline, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started off doing street art in DC during the recession in 2010 and then moved to Los Angeles where I worked in fashion doing Creative Direction for several brands. While living in Los Angeles, my public art practice became a full-service marketing agency, and JALE | CREATIVE was born. We relocated to Houston from Los Angeles in May 2017, and specialize in experiential marketing, placemaking, digital branding, and print identity. We believe in growing with our clients and focus on providing quality marketing services for an affordable price to small and midsize businesses.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not a smooth road, but through it all, I always believed in what I was building. There have been times when the money was slow, and the concepts were difficult, but they always worked out at the end of the day. Through it all, I focused on the integrity, curiosity, passion, and innovation of the creative output in our projects, and ultimately the work attracted larger clients and the agency gained a solid reputation in the community. Through failure, I gained knowledge and understanding of what I was building and the community I was trying to create.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with JALE | CREATIVE – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
We build our marketing around impact and experience. Print and digital branding are used as tools to further enforce our clients’ identity and business. It is a different approach towards the standard; in that, it is immersive and audience-centric. We have found that the best way to connect our target audience with our client is to stimulate emotional engagement to the brand by activating the physical space; driving traffic to the site of its location and further enforcing the authenticity of the brand.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are building strategic partnerships with other boutique businesses, so we can collectively launch projects that are larger in the vision for our clients. I am excited to see what the future of these partnerships holds, and for the time being, am focusing on building bridges with several businesses in a variety of different creative verticals.
