Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Joi.
Jasmine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started J 3 Connections LLC back in 2016, it is my desire to live on purpose. My purpose is to uplift, empower and encourage others in any way I can. I saw that I was great at leveraging my connections and wanted others to benefit as well. I started hosting networking mixers and events so people could connect. I have connected so many of my colleagues together and it has brought me true joy. I want everyone around me to win and I give my all in making sure that I live true to that mission.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. One thing about having a big heart is I give for the purpose of helping someone else. My kindness has been taken for granted so I had to become more discerning about who I gave. My other struggle is not having the capital to fund my projects or other projects like I wanted to so I was limited. Budgeting and justifying my purchases helped me along the way. I also found myself doing everything myself and I felt burnt out. Teamwork really makes the dream work and asking for help sometimes on projects helped me.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a creative and under my J3 connections LLC, I have my film company Trinity J Productions. I am a writer and producer. I love the details and bringing people together. I host writing sessions, research assistance, and consulting services for media. I am most proud of the documentary project that I won first prize in the American Heart Association Empowered Stories series, Trinity’s Barren Land, where I discussed the food desert in the south Dallas community where my family is from. I am also proud of my self-care film series and I created “Project: Love Us” short film with the talented poet, Black Caesar. I also created an apology letter film called, ” Mr. Good Guy” because I wanted good guys to know that they are loved and appreciated as well. What sets me apart is my heart to help others. I genuinely love to celebrate my people and ensure I do everything within my power for others to win.
