Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Sherman.
Jason, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
When I started growing out my beard several years ago, it became apparent very quickly that what I wanted in an all-natural product that feels and smells amazing, did not exist. What started out as a hobby has now flourished into a full-fledged passion that I want to share with everyone that I meet. In creating Phil’s Beard Co., I give all glory to Jesus Christ for saving my life, my family, and helping me to fulfill a dream of sharing my passion with others!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest struggle for me personally was stepping out and pursuing Phil’s Beard Co as a company instead of just a hobby. I have been making this product for some time now. I knew how much I loved it, but was not sure how others would embrace it. After asking many friends to try it out, the only feedback I got from them was how amazing the product was and how much they loved the fragrances. The most common comment was how I should sell my products. This gave me the confidence and push I needed to step out in faith, and start this new journey known as Phil’s Beard Co.
Please tell us about Phil’s Beard Co.
Phil’s Beard Co specializes in all natural beard and skin products. We provide beard butters and oils that help tame any type of beard. We also offer soothing balms for ladies as well. The fragrances of our products are what sets our products apart, not to mention, the fact that our products are made with all natural ingredients, no artificial fragrances, preservatives or additives. We are most proud that our products are clean and pure with fragrances that cannot be found in other products.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have marketed a little differently and more aggressively from the get-go. I would have also, from the beginning, tweaked my recipes to make bulk orders to be more prepared for future growth.
