Meet Jennifer Salter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Salter.

Jennifer, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started nine years ago when I moved to Texas to be with my fiancée (now husband) I had some time on my hands and decided to start a craft blog because it seemed like fun! Fast forward almost a decade and that craft blog has morphed into a creative lifestyle blog and birthed three other businesses – a handmade shop, a Social Media Management Agency, and Business Coaching at EveryDayBoss.com.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing about being an entrepreneur is a smooth journey. There have definitely been highs and lows. Lows – husband losing his job, my blog breaking at the height of a viral post, missing opportunities really big because of timing or travel, the failure of some creative ideas/businesses and burn out. Highs – retiring my husband from being a long haul trucker, launching three other successful businesses, my first business coaching client, landing the biggest blog gig I’ve ever had, being paid to be myself and shop, and soooo much more! The highs definitely outweigh the lows, and I’ve learned to focus on the wins, even in the midst of a low period.

Busy Being Jennifer – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As a blogger I am known for being bubbly, creative, approachable and authentic… which are all core values for me in each of my businesses. I love to network and make new connections with other bloggers and entrepreneurs. I focus on living a creative and authentic life, and share everything from crafts to recipes and tips for being an entrepreneur/work from home rockstar. I’ve had incredible opportunities to work with Lane Bryant, Personal Wine, Starbucks and so many other amazing brands. Each one is a chance for me to share my unique view of the world and products that I love. And that’s what I strive to be known for – someone authentic, real, and engaging, with a unique perspective on life.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Personally, I define success as being able to look back on each day, knowing that I served my clients well, made a least one person smile, and lived my best life in every moment. To me it’s really the little things, the small, simple, but perfect moments that define a life well lived and I strive to stay tuned into those little moments in time.
