So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My business is called Gor’Jess Chenelle Lashes. I named my business after my sister who passed away since she always wanted to open up a family business. I’ve been doing lashes for three years and I absolutely love it. I got into to lashes when I was a senior in high school, at the time I was only doing individual eyelashes. Now I’m a licensed Esthetician working out of a salon suite.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest part is building clientele because so many people are doing it now. You really have to put yourself out there and promote yourself on every social media. At one point I did free full sets just so people could see my work.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Gor’Jess Chenelle Lashes – what should we know?
I specialize in eyelash extensions. I offer classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume. I also do lash lift (perm) and lash tints. I love how my clients are of different ethnic because not everyone has the same lashes.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I’m a people’s person I like to interact with people. I love making people feel beautiful and confident.
