Meet Jessica Boscarini of Healthy Fit Fab Moms in Las Colinas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Boscarini.

Jessica, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Hi there! My name is Jessica. I am a Mom to three little ones and a Holistic Health Coach, Nutritional Chef, and Fitness Instructor – so I have made it my job to be healthy! However, my path to health started when I was a young girl, growing up as a competitive gymnast. I also played numerous other sports in Jr. High and High School, my favorite of which was a competitive surfer. Unfortunately, as many adolescents do, I struggled with an eating disorder and quickly became aware that my ideas of health weren’t going to get me where I wanted to be. It especially hit home when the nutritionist I was seeing told me that if I kept this way of living up, I wouldn’t be able to have children someday – which had always been a dream of mine!

At this point, I quickly tried to take on a healthier approach, although my constant headaches and ultra-sensitive skin were still telling me that something wasn’t right. This is when the idea of a holistic approach to both food and skincare began to come into play and I realized that overall health was more than just what you eat. I soon began to do my research, as I wanted to know what “being healthy” truly meant, and before I knew it I was heading back to school to get my Master’s in Holistic Nutrition.

Through this journey, I became aware of all that a healthy lifestyle can encompass. To take care of ourselves [on both the inside and out], we need to mindfully choose the products we use and the foods we eat to ensure our body is running as optimally as possible. This also leads me to fall in love with the idea of helping others experience food and wellness in a healthier light. It is now my mission to not only make good-for-you foods taste better but to help teach others that health is a lifestyle – not just a meal, diet, or quick fix. We all need balance and through the use of functional movement and exercise, stress reduction, emotional well-being, and of course, nutrition, we can create a healthier and ultimately happier life.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Growing a business and raising a family, of course, has its challenges, the majority of which stem from finding balance, and remembering that everything happens for a reason. I have always been super goal-oriented and is why I often push myself to the extremes (including having an eating disorder as a teenager). I also struggled with several miscarriages which also causes a lot of heartbreak and self-doubt, but in the end, it is totally out of my control.

However, these instances remind me that it’s important to look at the big picture and know that the path to your end goal is often even more vital than actually getting there – and is something I emphasize with my clients, as well. Take time to breathe and enjoy the ride, appreciate the small accomplishments, and make sure to include your friends and family on the journey as well, because these are the things and people that matter most. Without them, your result won’t matter.

Yes, we all have our own stories of challenge and adversity, but when we hear how other’s struggled and yet were able to overcome, it helps us grow ourselves and reminds us that we are not on this journey alone! Everyone deserves to feel their best – on both the inside and out – and with the proper mindset, and the help of those around us, this is indeed possible!

Please tell us more about your business.
Being healthy is my true passion, so my mission is to make others feel and look their best on both the inside and out! From the foods they eat to the exercises they do, I want to make healthy as easily accessible to others, as possible! As a busy mom myself, I know how hard it can be to eat right and fit in exercise, but if you learn how to make it part of your lifestyle – and realize how much better you feel because of it – it is no longer work and becomes something you truly enjoy doing! While my primary focus is moms, I have worked with people of all ages and stages and just want my clients to be the best version of themselves so that they can thrive!

A lot of my time is currently spent on Instagram (@healthyfitfabmoms) where I constantly showcase great products that will save you time, easy and tasty recipes, and tips on how to make life just a little more enjoyable on a day-to-day basis. So be sure to follow along and message me with questions or just to say hey!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as living a life you are proud of and knowing that you are doing the best you can at that stage in your career. Life comes with lots of hills and valleys and my day-to-day life is much different now, with three little kids, then it was when I was newly single and working four different jobs! However, I am constantly striving to find balance and to not only raise a family of good, happy, human beings but also to teach others how to be the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves, as well. When a client tells me how great one of my recipes is or that the tips I gave them helped them lose weight, sleep better, etc., that is when I know that I am doing just what I am meant to at this moment and it invigorates me to keep working harder so I can help others, as well.
