Meet Judy Obregon of The Abandoned Ones Animal Rescue

Today we’d like to introduce you to Judy Obregon.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Judy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have a huge heart for animals. While working to assist a dog in this well-known area known for dumping (very rural) who could barely move, my goal was to gain trust to hopefully capture and get him to vet. I was able to do so.

During the process of working with this abandoned dog, residents in the area approached me, they had informed me of other animals needing help, dumped dead and alive.

I began using social media to reach out for help as I felt by sharing their stories and the true reality of it, more people would know about it. Now known as The Abandoned Ones Animal Rescue dedicated to saving the lives of those who can’t speak. We truly believe “Every Animal Matters.”

We also assist families in need of “Community Outreach” where we work to educate and provide assistance with spay and neuter to prevent over population. Without our team of volunteers, fosters, vet care providers and our sponsors, we would not be where we are today.

We are beyond grateful for all the love and compassion from people all over the world who have helped get us here.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The only struggle is when you feel you can’t save them all. The emotions attached to it.

We do as much as we can to save them

At the end of the day, the smiles on their faces remind us why we are here and we continue no matter what.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Abandoned Ones Animal Rescue – what should we know?
We are an all foster, volunteer based group in the DFW, TX area.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Educating, inspiring more people to hopefully join us to save more lives.
