Today we’d like to introduce you to Kassandra Garcia.
Kassandra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started doing makeup and got into fashion as a little girl. I used to dress my mom up before she would go out and as I got older my friends started asking me to do their makeup for whatever social event they were attending. It really made me happy to see how their faces lit up after looking in the mirror so from there I decided to do freelance work.
I then took on photoshoots and projects that me and my friends would do and I made sure the models had a beat face and dope outfit. Now, I am building professional portfolios for my fashion and makeup. I’m happily open to work with brands! I love being a part of making an idea come to life.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Of course, it has not been easy. Nothing great is easy. You have to deal with anything life throws at you. Some of my struggles ranged from having to let go of stagnant relationships, trial and error of manifesting valuable relationships, feeling uninspired and unmotivated to having to decide if I want chips or ice cream at the gas station because I couldn’t get them both.
Whatever it was at the time, I always kept positive and remembered that nothing lasts forever.

My brand is not fully established yet. I’m working to be the go-to for anyone that needs a makeup artist or stylist. From head to toe, I want my looks to be a statement. I want all of my clients to be sad before going to bed because they have to wash their faces and take off their outfit. (Not literally but I know some know the feeling I’m referring to)

My friend, Asia deserves a lot of credit for always keeping me inspired with her crazy ideas. She’s one of the most creative and passionate people I know. She’s dope. Also, my boyfriend for always telling me how it is and keeping me grounded.
