Meet Katie Hubbard of My Wedding Wardrobe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Hubbard. 

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I graduated from TCU with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and became a professional personal stylist based out of Dallas, Texas. After years of styling for a corporate company, I decided to obtain my Master’s Degree from the SMU Cox School of Business so I could step out on my own to share my passion. I made the conscious decision to devote more one-on-one time to clients, make my services more accessible to everyone, and customize my work to meet my clients’ individual styling needs. I launched My Wedding Wardrobe in April of 2020 to help brides take the stress out of getting dressed for all of their wedding celebrations. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur is never a smooth road. There’s definitely been bumps along the way, especially since I launched during the pandemic, but with each struggle comes a great learning opportunity! 

As you know, we’re big fans of My Wedding Wardrobe. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
My Wedding Wardrobe is an online personal styling service for everything but the wedding dress! We create personalized, head-to-toe lookbooks based on the client’s event, style preferences, and budget. We are based in Dallas, TX, but since we are an online service, we style clients nationwide! Some of our post-popular styling services include engagement photos, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, and mother-of-the-bride. We are currently the only bridal styling company that focuses on all the other wedding events besides the wedding day. I’m very proud of My Wedding Wardrobe because we help take stress off of brides during one of the most important times in their life! There is no better feeling than making a bride feel confident and beautiful for all of her wedding celebrations! 

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love Dallas because there is so much opportunity here! There are people from all over the country and lots of entrepreneurs who love helping each other grow their businesses. The wedding industry is huge in Dallas, so it’s the perfect place for My Wedding Wardrobe!
