Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelley Lewis.
Kelley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well….. How I started…..whew…..I’ve been in music since I was 8…..singing in the Birdie Alexander Chimes under Linda Searight…..so yeah it all started with me singing…..all through elementary, middle school high school and college….UIL, Solo/Ensemble, All City and All State Soprano, singing and traveling with God’s Property…….I always wanted to sing and also be all my “own stuff” lol….my own manager, booking agent, promoter…..all that……after recording and traveling with GP, and recording with Fred Hammond among others, and my failed solo career, I decided to stop being scared and learn the business side of the “industry” I have the music side down to a science, they call me “Super Soprano” one of Dallas’ best….I’m just Kelley to me though…..lol, but after learning, looking, listening and watching I picked up all I could as it pertained to what I wanted to do….yes I LOVE singing, but the backside is where I want to be…..I still sing, that won’t stop, but now my focus is helping to push other artists, some that want to get started, that got started and stopped, that are established and need the extra help…..IM HERE FOR IT….lol That’s what Kelley Koated Solutions does among a plethora of other things.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
NOOOOOOO WAYYYYYY!!!! There are doubters and naysayers EVERYWHERE…..people that are against you just because it’s YOU…..and they don’t want you to get ahead of them or out do them……I used to wonder why my peers were ahead of me….my struggles……well……I wasn’t focused on me, too busy watching everyone else…struggling with self-esteem issues, fear, and that put me behind…..so I had to catch up…..but the bumps, bruises, trials and tribulations…..ALL WORTH IT……I doubted myself for a while….like can I really do this….will it work….is it worth….YES…..it is and I’m full steam ahead. I walked away
from a 9-5 for this…..I DARE NOT let anything
stop me…..
“I WONT QUIT” is my mantra……from sexual abuse, to suicide, going to jail, losing my mom and grandmother, being deemed insane…..I thought those things alone would hold me back……talk about obstacles……whew…..nah……they only made the chase to my destiny greater…..I’m gonna get everything I’m after, With God on my side, as he has been I WONT QUIT!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Kelley Koated Solutions – what should we know?
So Kelley Koated Solutions, LLC is geared towards providing service for individuals as well as small businesses with the potential to grow to large businesses, I provided a plethora of services which would take some in the load off of an individual business just starting out and provide assistance with those that are re-launching or revamping….I’ve been in administration at least 15 years and have worked at offices and ran day to day functions for several businesses which are now successful…. I thought about that…..Why be limited to just one individual or business when I can provide service for more, for my own rates….🤔🤔🤔🤔 and I realized that I had been
doing it for some people for free 😣😣😣…..I was still trying to work a 9-5 and do this, and simply got tired and walked away from the 9-5 knowing and believing that God had me covered and I started KKS…..it was slow at first but it is picking up and I’m extremely grateful….once it really gets booming I plan on opening an office in the downtown/deep ellum area and offering my services to
those that are surrounding and to help build up our own community as well.

My mama, The late Linda Sue Lewis was my biggest influence, my #1 fan, my biggest critic and my number one supporter…she was my all-time go to……I miss that girl soooo much……ummm my best friend of over 30 years Mishunda Brown…..she has always been in my corner for every endeavor I’ve ever pursued, she’s been right there, she’s my “wonder woman” my other best friend Janelle Black…..lol she’s my “thug” lol…..and gets me right on together when I get to talking foolish and want to quit…..My children Alexis and Adrian…..they make me NOT QUIT, they are my “heart beats” they keep me going…….there are lots of others, to many to name and some I didn’t even know were watching……makes me feel like I’m doing something right….and wait last but definitely not least Jerron Hogg….that’s bae…..he brings out the “go get it” in me…..he’s my everything……and past each of them pushing me they love me, for me, past me and through me….if that makes sense…..
