Kim Bruce, founder and owner of Organizing Spaces by Kim, is a Creative Organizing Expert, Speaker and Collaborator who helps others take control of their spaces by creating organized solutions that better serve them.
Kim’s Spanish roots run deep in the Rio Grande Valley and her interest in organization began early in childhood. Growing up in La Feria, Texas, her organized lifestyle was initially established by her mom, who always kept a systematically clutter-free home. Kim graduated from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi with a bachelor’s degree in communications and minor in public relations before becoming a teacher in Dallas. Teaching allowed her to educate her students on how to keep an organized area while teaching the importance of organization. She put in years of hard work as a teacher before following her true passion, taking a risk and establishing herself into the home organizing scene. Becoming a mom to two under two and being a teacher for over 12 years has provided Kim with a distinct perspective of organizing. Through her own experiences from childhood to motherhood, she understands new challenges, connects with her clients and is able to bring joy to their lives by helping them declutter and reconnect. Today, she uses client-specific criteria with attention to design, detail and functionality. Kim currently lives in Rockwall, Texas with her college sweetheart and their two daughters.

Organizing Spaces by Kim’s services range from one-on-one consultations, organizing plans and solutions, speaker and keynote opportunities – all created to develop structures, boundaries and established organized habits. In April 2020, Kim was recognized in OprahMag.com featuring “Pantry Organizing Ideas and Hacks” and launched her DIY and virtual organizing packages to provide a step-by-step guide on how to organize your space – all with essential tips to help clients during the COVID-19 Coronavirus, and beyond. Has it been a smooth road?
I have faced and overcome several road blocks at different stages of my business. Never in my lifetime of my business did I ever imagine having to cancel 2 months worth of clients due to a global pandemic. Covid-19 has taken a hard hit on my business financially. Like most, I’m learning how to navigate through this time “virtually”. Virtual organizing is now a service that I offer but I will say that I CAN NOT WAIT to get back into homes. I’m currently booking clients for Summer 2020.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes!! Absolutely! I don’t think there is a region that doesn’t need an organizing expert, right?
