Anointed Hearts & Hands Catering, Inc. is a step of faith. They are family owned and operated business, mother and daughter team looking to give God’s people a serving of love one plate at a time!
Chef Theresa makes up one half of Anointed Hearts and Hands and has been in the food service industry for over 30 years. She has taken her gift and experience in quality food preparation, staff excellence and guest satisfaction and rolled it all up into serving others with excellence. Theresa started her food service career at the age of 16 and learned the value of guest service and superior food satisfaction studying under Chef Jack Lucas. Chef Theresa further believes that people eat first with their eyes, which is the reason food presentation is just as important as the taste. Mama T, affectionately known by family and friends, pours her heart and passion into every dish that she prepares. Before venturing into her own catering business, she held kitchen management and sous chef positions in Sheraton Hotel, Hilton Hotel, Prestonwood Country Club (The Creek and The Hills and host of other establishments.
La Tricia makes up the other half of Anointed Hearts and Hand. She grew up in the kitchen and actually started working in the kitchen with her mom, Chef Theresa at the age of 14. LaTricia’s commitment to service is unsurpassed. LaTricia believes that service and guest satisfaction are the keys to success…In any business. While watching her mom and dad at an early age, she developed her love of baking and making people happy with food. She also learned that clients are not customers they are family.

Has it been a smooth road?
We began our small business journey in May of 2016. We were excited about all the possibilities. We loved what we did and simply wanted to share it by our own rules. We were doing well and then in October of 2016 we were hit with a scam that kind of hit us pretty hard. Here we are and new business in which my mom and I worked full time in and then this happens. We were pretty shook because that took us through some tough times financially. It really took prayer and more prayer to get us through that time. We were truly blessed because business was coming in but we were still not yet known as we were still new. We kept at it and stayed dedicated to what God set us up to do and that was to provide excellence to our clients. Fast forward to now, we are getting our name and reputation out and people not only taste the excellence we bring but they see it. We smiled the whole way through our struggles, we helped others the whole way through our struggles and we gave back during our struggle. I would not say it is smooth sailing but we are sailing and we love it every minute of it.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Anointed Hearts and Hands Catering story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a catering company. We specialize in service, great looking food and great tasting food. We are known for our from scratch home cooking. We are most proud of all the love that we put into our food and service. We want everyone we come in contact with love their food as much as we loved preparing it. We are also most proud of the fact that we glorify God in all that we do. We take this very seriously from the safety to the taste. We genuinely care about about our clients. We want clients to now only be clients, but family. We are set apart because it is a family affair at Anointed Hearts and Hands Catering. We want clients to know that we care about their vision and we want to do our part to enhance that vision as much as possible. We are service oriented and that is the difference for us. We are set apart because we provide an experience and not just a meal.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5 to 10 years I see catering being the ultimate way to go. As technology becomes more advanced, people are moving around more and time is limited. People are ordering out all the time. The difference you can’t always get a home cooked meal when you order fast food. So I see people being catered to more often.
