Meet Linda and Istvan Takacs of L&I.T Photography in McKinney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda and Istvan Takacs.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Linda and Istvan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We have always loved art and photography, but the way that we started is kind of a funny story. We were hobby photographers (usually just taking pictures of our kids and dogs). We started a Facebook group (which grew extremely fast) where people can post services or look for service. Soon after, we started the group someone posted and was looking for a photographer for her products. Nobody offered so we offered to do it to help out. After that, people kept messaging us for photography sessions, so we then decided that we should just make it a family business. They say that if it’s meant to be, it will just fall into your lap, well, that is exactly how this happened. One thing after another our business just came to us and we followed where the path led us. That is how our hobby turned into our family business.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been an interesting road! Definitely had a lot of ups and downs but mostly ups really. We have grown extremely fast, we constantly invest in our education and our gear. We have started winning international awards AND we even got contacted by this AWESOME magazine to be in it! So, it may be a bumpy road but the ride is well worth it!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with L&I.T Photography – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
We have won international awards for our newborn and children photography. We are well known for creating fine art images. We are a husband and wife duo and we each specialize in different things. The wife specializes in newborns, children, and babies; the husband specializes in maternity, seniors, and family. What sets us apart is our integrity. We started this business with the goal to make high-end photography affordable for everyone and we stick to that. We have kept and will continue to keep our prices affordable so that EVERYONE can get the memories that they deserve. Our honesty, integrity and not forgetting why we started this is what sets us apart and keeps our clients coming back numerous times each year.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our next goal is to combine photography and our love for children. We would love to eventually start offering summer photography camps for children. They would come out with any camera and we would spend time outdoors, in nature, helping them learn to see the beauty in everything around.

This year, we did start hosting photography workshops for photographers. We currently teach all the basics of photography, get to know your gear, editing, outdoor photography, studio photography, lighting, and newborn photography.

• Full 3 hours newborn photography session for $250(tax included). Comes with 10 thoroughly edited high res digital images of your choice and the whole gallery naturally edited. Unlimited outfit changes and unlimited number of people. All of your images are delivered via an online gallery.
• Mini 2 hours newborn photography session for $199(tax included). Comes with 6 thoroughly edited high res digital images of your choice and the whole gallery naturally edited. Family and sibling pictures are not included in this package. All of your images are delivered via an online gallery.
• One hour studio cake smash for $175(tax included). Comes with 8 thoroughly edited high res digital images of your choice and the whole gallery naturally edited. Includes mini studio portrait session, cake smash and a bubble bath. All of your images are delivered via an online gallery.
