Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorena Decanini.
Lorena, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a newly married wife. With years in the marketing, PR and event organization field, yet fashion has always intrigued me. I am passionate and enthusiastic about accomplishing my goals. While hosting large events and engaging larger audiences I learned how to have a healthy work-life balance. My husband and family support my vision and my passion and we are excited about the future. My resume includes several red-carpet interviews along with a successful line of events and fashion show experiences for both myself and the investors involved (New York and Paris Fashion Week). It has been a learning experience that I am 100% proud to have taken that has led me to several opportunities to do work as a consultant for multiple companies. With my skills, accompanied by the help of my teams, I have been able to create brand awareness and increase profit margins throughout my work with a local business. My family keeps me grounded. My faith keeps me humble. My drive keeps me moving forward and appreciating every opportunity that I am given.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been easy. As a teen mom, I faced a multitude of challenges. Those challenges were tough and I am thankful as they have all made me the strong businesswoman I am today. But It has always been fun. Another challenge I struggled with was earning the trust of businesses and investors that I had not worked with in the past. I was able to overcome that with the stepping stones in starting small and then going BIG. And finally, a challenge I had was the healthy work-life balance as a mom of two, my husband has helped me with that as he has run several large organizations and made it look easy. I have learned that there is a strategy in having a balance in life.
Please tell us about your business.
My business is designed to help other businesses grow. Several areas of business can be improved with minor tweaks in the marketing or expense management areas. I am known for a businesswoman that is determined to get results, in any circumstance. I am most proud of the fact that I challenged myself to understand the business from the group up. From there, create a business plan for business owners to help them accomplish their goals. What sets me apart is that I do not watch the clock, waiting for the work-day to end. I do what it takes no matter the time, energy and effort involved to produce the expected results.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
YES, I plan on working on my newest business adventure called The Style Society.
What is the Style Society?
A society of Entrepreneurs who are looking to network and meet with other people like them to empower them to grow (helping them to grow business by meeting like-minded business professionals from different verticals). This is a BIG CHANGE because it is geared toward helping a larger audience of business professionals.
