Meet Lynde Griggs and Tiffany Savage of Belle and Sparrows in North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynde Griggs and Tiffany Savage.

Lynde and Tiffany, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We are excited to introduce you to Belle and Sparrows. We are a Dallas based by women and for women non-profit. Our mission is to lead women changed by Jesus, on short-term trips to share the message of the gospel and instill worthiness to women around the world.

Our Story: God put a deep passion in our hearts for women and missions that could not be ignored. As co-founders of Belle and Sparrows, “Beautiful. Not Forgotten” we have 27 years of church staff ministry experience, and leading or attending over 100 mission trips between us.

Our heart for Belle and Sparrows is twofold:

• To equip women on short term trips to know their worth and to step out to serve marginalized and forgotten women both locally and abroad.

• To share love with the women we serve, letting them know that they are beautiful and worthy and then experiencing the joy of lives transformed.

Has it been a smooth road?
Since our launch on March 17, 2017, we have been moving at a rapid pace. To date we have taken 7 trips both locally and internationally, bringing with us over 100 women to share, encourage and empower those who culture would deem unworthy. While the growth of Belle and Sparrows has been exciting, we are only a two-woman team running and operating our non-profit. Currently, our struggles are marketing the Belle and Sparrows name to women and potential donors.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
The empowerment of women to know their worth is key to Belle and Sparrows. We pride ourselves in making long-term relational investments in the women we serve and the volunteers that join our efforts by standing in the gap for the marginalized. Our partnerships include: serving women who have fled domestic abuse, building into the lives of women who were formerly incarcerated, women who have left the sex-industry, women in villages in Guatemala and Haiti, women who have been displaced from major hurricanes and women who have been trafficked. We bring with us not only a message of worthiness, but also skills training so that women can add to their personal and family income. We have seen how bringing a simple card making craft to a small village in Guatemala is making a sustainable financial impact for these women. Duplicating our efforts in new locations will bring increased economic revitalization.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Dallas and surrounding areas are full of abundant resources and whose residents are compassionate and willing give and get involved. Area networking events and local chambers help make connections easier for the newcomer.

What the women in your organization do to help these women gain skills, self esteem and learn what is to become self reliant is so phenomenal . You are not there just to hand out goods, which is an easy way to assist people who are in need…you actually give these women hope to flourish in their lives…economically and most importantly spiritually 🤗
I cannot give you women enough praise and support for your commitment and selflessness! I will certainly do my best to spread the “Word” of your exceptional work🙏🏼
