Meet Lynn Winter of Dispositive Motion in Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynn Winter.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lynn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started blogging in 2011 shortly after taking the Texas Bar Exam. I was also newly married and about to start a new chapter in life. From there, the blog chronicled my life, which included struggles as a newlywed, struggles as an associate attorney. It then was my diary of sorts as I went through a divorce and closed one chapter of my life. The blog morphed along the way and became a source of real-life, raw moments that women struggle through and often feel alone in. From divorce to dating again, a second marriage, and now motherhood as a full-time working mom.

Now, I write for that busy mom who is trying to hold all her shit together and feels alone or like she is failing. I hope to show women that they can take time for themselves and still be a good wife, mom, and employee, business owner, CEO, you name it! I focus on wellness, self-love, self-care and finding you again the midst of motherhood.

I also love to highlight small, local businesses and I do not shy away from the not so pretty topics, like abortion. You name it, I will tackle it.

Oh, did I mention I do all this while working full-time as a lawyer, inspiring women to live a healthier lifestyle, and teaching dance and baton twirling part-time at Studio of MoveMint?

Has it been a smooth road?
Lord, no! Putting my life on display for others has been hard. It was scary and made me feel vulnerable at times. But, I realized that the topics and things I was discussing are the things that real women experience everyday.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Dispositive Motion story. Tell us more about the business.
I am known for showing women how to manage and balance all the things–motherhood, marriage, health & fitness, career goals and more. I show women what has worked for me from clothes to products to workouts, meal plans, personal development and more. I have always said that making money from blogging is never the goal– I just want to inspire and empower women. I want them to know they are not alone. I think I offer such a different perspective because I am a full-time working woman.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I think blogging and influencers will have to connect with today’s women to continue. They need to be real and connected to actual women in order to speak to their audience and that is just what I have always done. It’s just me, my phone and a tripod.
