Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Maldonado.
Maria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started Peach Online back in May of 2016. Owning my own clothing store is something I had been wanting to do since high school. I used to work at the Bazaar (it’s like a mall) during the weekends and worked at a woman’s clothing store. I even named my store “Peaches N Cream,” I was a 112 fan. I later graduated and I started working at the World Trade Center selling fine jewelry. I started traveling to different Trade Shows and I remember being infatuated by the buyers at those trade shows. A decade later, I decided to go for it and launch my own online store.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been easy, I have been wanting to quit many times, but I have pushed through! I struggled with not being good enough for social media, I have struggled with finding my style and having to start from scratch after having my second daughter.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I offer fashion! I am known for my Peach and how it makes a woman feel like they are total Peach babes when they wear my brand. I am extremely proud of the clientele that I serve because I serve the mommas, the busy college student, the boss babes or the girls who just wanna have fun! What sets me apart from the rest is that we cater to our Peach babes and we offer same day pick ups since we have recently moved in to our new showroom space. It is not a store front as we are unable to commit due to our other business. But my girls can come and shop privately and pick up at our showroom.
What were you like growing up?
I was extremely shy growing up. I am honestly surprised that I am even doing the things I am doing now and how social I am. My personality is pretty laid back and you are automatically my friend! I am a positive person always have been and always will be. My interest is taking some ME time at the gym, my education and just growing in my business.
