So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My hair turned my life around…
Who would have ever known that after bleaching my hair to achieve purple, I would become an entrepreneur, business owner and inspiration to many!
It all started back in 2016 when my hair was full, long and healthy, at least that’s what I thought. That’s when I decided to bleach my hair to a beautiful purple color after making an agreement with my hairstylist of 10 years to be in the chair every two weeks to maintain the changes to my hair. I made appointments when needed, but of course, that didn’t work at all. [Why didn’t it work out?] At first, I would get more purple added in whenever it started to fade into a funky looking color, but eventually, I didn’t want to keep adding color after I noticed my hair breaking off and getting shorter. It was like the bleach was eating my hair! I was told that I always had a head full of hair since I was a baby and I knew I couldn’t just let my hair fall out, so I had to start taking care of it.
That’s when I started watching YouTube videos related to natural hair, following naturalists on Instagram and getting to know my hair. I’d try different products, make hair appointments when needed, and pretty much experiment with my hair. In time, I learned how to properly take care of my hair, which leads me to think I wanted to be on YouTube creating tutorials. I’d rock my hair natural, do wash n go’s & cute little hairstyles. I’d then take pictures and use the proper hashtags for my photos. I engaged with others mainly on Instagram. One day, a unique account made a comment on my photo stating that my hair was beautiful! I replied, “Thank you, I want to inspire others to have natural hair”. She replied and said, “I think I have the perfect business opportunity for you, DM me”. Our conversation moved to the DM’s and in like a week or two, we started working together. Turns out, she was a branding coach starting her journey.
I got to where I am today as an entrepreneur, business owner, and inspiration by first keeping God in the recipe, having a branding coach, learning for myself, breaking out of my shell of being shy, and never giving up on my brand no matter what.

At the beginning, you’re so happy you don’t really think about the things that may happen! It’s the excitement of an entrepreneur! It hasn’t been a smooth road. There’s times when you want to give up but don’t, mix business with pleasure, and don’t have the support you truly need like those who want to see you win.
