Myah, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Myah Symone Boutique started out simply from my wanting to break generational curses and create generational wealth! When I was going through the research and dreaming stage, I wanted to develop something that was unique, but realistic. I have always been into jewelry and accessorizing, which I picked up from my mother. My mother always had mounds and mounds of jewelry and I was constantly in her closet looking for the next piece of jewelry to put with my outfits. So, when thinking of starting an online boutique that was the first product type that popped into my head, and felt organic to who I am as well. I wanted to start a business that I could relate to, and a jewelry boutique was just that. The journey has been a short one, but it has been filled with excitement, stress, lessons, and growth!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I don’t think smooth and small business can go into the same sentence. There have been many struggles. Finances are always at the forefront of the struggles I face and with this being a new endeavor I’m learning everything as I go. While the mistakes are frustrating, they are also extremely necessary. Some struggles I have faced are creating and maintaining customers, reaching an audience outside of my immediate circle, finding quality products to deliver, and balancing a business and a full-time job. Struggles are not failures and the fun in building a business from scratch is seeing the process from beginning to end.

Myah Symone Boutique started in February 2019. An online jewelry boutique providing a variety of trendy jewelry at an affordable price. I hand pick items I think will fit any style preference, aiming to help women feel a little more special when accessorizing. Providing quality pieces at an affordable price is so important to me and I will always use integrity when presenting and selling my products. I am most proud of my branding, which I think sets me apart from other boutiques. In a time when selling products online is so popular, it is important to find other ways to stand out!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Myah Symone Boutique has so much planned for the future. I am working hard on getting my boutique to a place where it is recognized as a source of beautiful and unique jewelry. I am looking forward to expanding my inventory, giving back to the community, and branching out in other avenues. I’m always brainstorming ways to reach my audience in unconventional ways.
