Meet Nancy Eftekhari of Hebron Montessori School in Carrollton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nancy Eftekhari.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I got interested in the Montessori program when I started my children who were 3 years and 18 months at a Montessori school in New Jersey. While they were in school and excelling in a variety of different areas, I got excited, quit my job and got hired in school they were attending. There, under the tutelage of Ms. Glusa, I started my Montessori training. Ms. Glusa personally trained with Dr. Maria Montessori’s son Mario at the institute he co-founded with his mother, the Association Montessori Internationale in the Netherlands.

As a Director of Hebron Montessori School, I bring over 25 years of professional Montessori experience both as a teacher and a Director. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from LaRoche College and Montessori Certification from Montessori Education Programs International (MEPI).

My driving force as a Montessori Educator, both as a teacher and a Director, has been my love for interacting with families and watching children grow into lifetime learners. In fact, part of what I enjoy most about serving as a director is the personal relationships I develop with my families. I seek to create a warm, inviting environment for all families and staff.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No path to success is ever smooth. I had to learn how to run a business, how to manage the expectations of the parents and students as well as the teachers and staff, keep the staff engaged and happy, etc. It took me many years to finally take the leap to open my own school but every step along the way has taught me a lesson one way or the other. I will use all those lessons to make my business a success!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Hebron Montessori School – what should we know?
At Hebron Montessori School, we want to provide children with the best opportunity to succeed in life. We believe we have the teachers, resources and facilities to provide children with the best environment for educational development. Hebron Montessori exists to provide a nurturing learning environment using Montessori methods and philosophy. This environment allows the child to develop independently in all areas of learning according to his or her inner psychological and motivational needs. The learning materials are freely available for the children to learn and explore, creating a dynamic learning process guided and encouraged by the Montessori teacher.
Hebron Montessori School has programs for children from 18 months through Kindergarten. The exceptionally bright, the average, and the academically challenged have all flourished under the individualized approach of the Montessori philosophy.

Seeing our kids grow up and achieve success is what makes us most proud as a company.

Our authentic Montessori program is unmatched by any and we believe we can help any student achieve.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Ms. Glusa was the first mentor I had and she introduced me to Montessori.

I have a fantastic team at my school that makes my job a lot easier.

My husband and my children also deserve credit as well.
