Meet Nicole Gaskins of Lush Vegan Shakes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Gaskins.

Hi Nicole, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I decided to launch my business April 2022, after sitting on the idea for two years. What made me start, I got tired of not living at my maximum potential. I knew that I had this gift in reserve and was robbing my very community by not sharing it. It was intimidating and very uncomfortable to start a product business, which I had no prior experience in. But since launching I have zero regrets! I am pleased to be able to serve at a high level of excellence, normalizing luxury and creating great joyous moments for my guests. Today we are a premium food concessionaire who can be found at your local market or festival. My end goal, a fine dining experience in an amazing restaurant.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a bumpy road. First year of business will determine if the person has what it takes to survive in this game. But that bumpy road has built some character, the bruises some endurance and the process is creating a more focused, humble servant who is willing to do the work no matter the cost. Starting a business sounds like a microwave, compressed version of life. Guaranteed challenges, but it’s all in your response. I have had delays, cold weather, short staff, but my response, maintain my cool and serve. No matter what show up and serve.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in offering unique foods and drinks that are served at a high level of excellence. I’m set apart by the moment I’m creating. I know for sure when the restaurant opens my guests will feel my brand, will feel the luxury, the warmth, the passion from the experience. I try to convey that in my presentation and brand even if I’m at a festival. So not only is my menu different than what you could get from any other vendor but so is my décor, my presentation. I want my guests to feel special, experience exceptional on a daily basis.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc.?
My favorite podcast is Secret to Success. The words, and the discussion forces you to think, challenges you to grow, and motivates you to live a purpose-filled life. I’m eager to start You Owe You by Eric Thomas.

I was impacted greatly by The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
