Meet Pam Bowers of Chaos Pros in Frisco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pam Bowers.

Pam is a Professional Organizer and speaker whose passion is helping others’ lives to be less stressed, more manageable, and more peaceful through optimal organization.

After obtaining her Executive Secretarial Associate’s Degree, she spent nearly 20 years in the corporate world.

During the early part of her career, she became a Certified Professional Secretary after passing all parts of the exam on the first attempt. Her office skills continually received high compliments, particularly in the area of organization.

After responding to a request (posted on mamasource.com) to help with a busy photographer’s home office organization, she decided to use her experience to focus solely in the area of organizing the chaos that seems to control many lives. Chaos Pros, LLC™ (Chaos Pros) was originally established as Organized Chaos and created in 2006 in Plano, Texas. Chaos Pros serves the DFW Metroplex in person, and the U.S. and the world by special arrangement. Virtual services are available to anyone who is able to perform the physical work but desires guidance on how to proceed.

After transferring to Texas from Ohio in 2000, she currently resides in Little Elm with her husband of 30+ years, her two children when they’re not in college or working, 4 dogs, 2 turtles, several goldfish, and a snake named Derek.

Using humor and empathy, combined with a huge dose of God’s grace, she and her team have been able to help hundreds reclaim control over the chaos, and restore calm to their lives.

Chaos Pros, LLC is a proud member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and its Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter, for which Pam currently serves as the Director of Corporate Associate Members.

Chaos Pros is a 5-star rated member of homeadvisors.com. She is the only Professional Organizer in the Collin County Home & Garden Spring Show, and has presented many workshops on their celebrity stage. She participated in an episode of A&E: Hoarders (Jo episode) for which she was the “Organizer of the Organizers.” She has appeared on Fox 4’s Good Day, and recently was featured in Frisco Style magazine and on PlanoProfile.com.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
NO. The biggest struggle was when I wanted to change from a sole proprietor to an LLC.

I discovered I had been given bad advice when I started and had never correctly trademarked my company name. It actually was already trademarked before I even started organizing. Changing your name is a time consuming and frustrating process!

Please tell us about Chaos Pros.
We are Professional Organizers. We specialize in office organization, but you name it and we can organize it. We are known for making it easier on our clients to go through the process of getting organized by keeping the process fun. “Life happens” is a slogan we use often. Even the Odd Couples’ Felix Unger had bad days; imagine what his house would have looked like had he been bed ridden due to a car accident!

We’re extremely proud that we have grown to a team of 4 and just celebrated our 11th anniversary on September 13!

Many things about Chaos Pros sets us apart from other organizers. One thing is the fact that we have such diverse backgrounds which allows us to add services that complement our organizing services, including staging, interior design, and silver cleaning. My experience working for CPA’s contributes greatly to my knowledge of what papers should be retained and what can be let go. A second thing that sets us apart is “we ain’t skeered” of much. I’ve been on an episode of A&E’s Hoarders, and I’ve worked in hoarding environments, we’ve removed dead birds and dead cats, and helped rid our client’s homes of insects. My husband’s easiest Christmas was when I asked for a reciprocating saw. I’m definitely not afraid of tools and we use them for our clients often!

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Invested in a good business law attorney to make sure my name was trademarked correctly and that all legal agreements I use in my business are air tight.
