Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Ciastko.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Rachel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
After college, I found a love for floral through my very own wedding. I remember my florist was absolutely amazing and as I was reminiscing on my wedding day I said to myself, “I want to do that.” And, that’s where it started! I began to search out the top florists in the DFW area and simply asking them if I could intern for no pay at all. I must of emailed 10 places until I got a response saying they were hiring. I soon got the internship and then I was hired as a full-time floral designer, and that is where I literally lived and breathed flowers for over 3 years! Now I am on my own journey starting my own floral design company Alba Dahlia Floral.
Has it been a smooth road?
Not exactly smooth! I think every business startup is intimidating to people and those thoughts of fear and doubt come into play but you just have to fight past those thoughts and give it your all, and that’s what I have been doing!

Alba Dahlia Floral is a wedding and event florist. We specialize in everything weddings! From bridal bouquets, bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, ceremony decor, reception decor, you name it. We customize each wedding as their own providing our unique vision and expertise. We are most proud of our ability to cater to ANY style that is presented to us.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I think the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is an incredible place to start a wedding business. I would definitely recommend it to others thinking about starting their own. There are wedding venues everywhere and that provides great opportunity to succeed.
