Meet Reggie Calhoun Jr. of Rezolution Prep Academy in Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reggie Calhoun Jr.

As the Director and Founder of Rezolution Prep Academy, Reggie CES, is a graduate of Louisiana College. During his time at LC, he broke and held multiple records in the school’s history. A native of New Orleans, La., there he learned many life lessons that allowed him to navigate through life. His senior year in high school was the year of Hurricane Katrina. Coupling the life of a military kid, and now an evacuee of Katrina, he learned to adapt and overcome to new surroundings.

The path to college was untraditional for him due to joining the military in 2006. Coach Calhoun entered the college scene in 2008, starting at the junior college level. In 2009, he enrolled into Louisiana College, not knowing what to expect he earned not only a spot on the team but a starting position.

In 2012, he graduated with a BA in Exercise Science/Fitness and Wellness, as well as gained certification is Corrective Exercise specializing in post injury rehab and sports training. 2013 Rezolution Wellness Company was established and the road to building a sports fitness and wellness brand began.

Because professional sports were always a part of his plan, he moved to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area in pursuit of the pro football opportunity. Trying out for many teams, finally he landed on a professional indoor arena team and things began to shift.

Understanding that pro sports is not the option for everyone, he decided to start passing on knowledge gained. His goal and mission is to equip as many young men as he can with positive and practical teachings, with hopes of them utilizing them to become not just better athletes but men first!!

There’s more than what meets the eye about him. He believes that one day (soon) he’ll spark the flame in one of the nation’s leaders or influencers.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In business you have to expect resistance, that’s the only way to continue success. The road hasn’t been smooth and if it were I’d be worried.

The biggest struggle has been support. When you’re launching something new and unique that has never been seen in an area, you’re going to feel alone.

Without a strong mind, you can potentially talk yourself out of the venture due to no one believing you or supporting you.

Rezolution Prep Academy is a post graduate program for high school graduates who have to find their place at the next level of sports. We assist in recruiting and player development in order to get them to the next level.

Rezolution Prep is a part of The Rezolution Conglomerate, LLC, which houses a both RPA and Rezolution Wellness.

We specialize in developing young men and athletes on all levels. Development ranging from leadership, time management, self-value, injury rehab, skills training and college prep.

What I am most proud of is creating and program that is not only unique but beneficial to our youth and their progress.

We will soon become a first option and household name in the college sports world.

What were you like growing up?
I was always ambitious growing up. Willing to try just about anything that I believed would move me forward. Even without the conscious logical thinking I have now, I always knew there was more out there.

I always dreamed of being a super hero. I’d watch hero shows and tell my mom one day I’d be one. I didn’t mean one with supernatural powers, but a true hero that can change a person’s life with my actions. Making them believe in themselves and their goals.

I enjoyed playing sports, not watching. I didn’t enjoy watching others compete, I always got involved. I’m a competitor by nature and it shows even in my business. I compete with myself daily.
