Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Estes and Jon Chapman.
Sarah and Jon, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Sarah: Agency brat evolved into a freelancing mompreneur, which turned into a strong obsession to scale businesses with creative digital solutions. After almost two years of success with Estes Digital, I grew tired of only having my dog to brainstorm with and decided to partner with my professional soulmate and creative guru, Jon Chapman.
Jon: Similar story to Sarah, I started out a Dallas advertising agency and then hopped around a couple of Fort Worth’s better-known agencies and after a series of events – I started freelancing full-time. After offering a variety of services, we listened to the marketplace and created a solution that we felt was best for our community – Digital Creative.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Sarah: One of the most natural progressions I’ve made in my life, my partner, Jon, gave me a whole new set of hands and eyes.
Jon: As far as business challenges, our journey has been pretty consistent. We’ve had incredible referrals and wonderful clients who trust us to help their businesses grow. But, not without some hiccups – we’ve had clients who change their minds mid-scope (scope of work) and we’ve had some really slow months but we use our time planning and staying focused. And so far, we’ve been really lucky!
Preuve – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Sarah: We make brands stand out in the digital space and help businesses’ connect to their audience by enchanting them with state of the art & interactive designs and proven digital marketing strategies. Our clients are most likely to come to us because they are ready for growth. They stay with us because we’re committed to growing with them.
Jon: What Sarah said hahaha. But I also think what sets us apart is that we’re trying to push clients not just to float in their market but to thrive. We’re most proud when those efforts lead to real customer connection and sales. Success is to us isn’t one or the other – it’s both.
What were you like growing up?
Sarah: As a little girl, I was as curious as a kitty, slightly competitive and a total social butterfly. As I matured, I developed a love for exploring unfamiliar places, solving problems and beautiful souls. These personality traits made me a natural fit for client services and entrepreneurship.
Jon: Growing up, I was brought to a lot of my brother’s sporting events. But I could never get into it, so I spent my childhood playing in trees and drawing in bleachers until I met skateboarding. Then it was all skateboarding– the music, the culture, the rule-breaking. That was my everything; and my introduction to graphic design.
