Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanita “Nita B” Brown.
Shanita, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always been a person who has had the heart to see people live in a place of untapped potential. I believe we are continually evolving, and as we evolve, we should evolve into a better version of ourselves. My story started when I became self- aware of myself. Self-aware of my emotions, mood, attitude, and mentality. When I realized that it is and was possible to live a life that is not limited by our own mind and the experiences that have shaped us, I wanted to teach others how to live in a place of freedom, awareness, and untapped potential. I am where I am today because I help others to achieve and become a better version of themselves.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road to get to where I am. I have had my share of obstacles, but those challenges have matured me, groomed me, and prepared me for my next level. Most of my challenges thus far has been the separation of relationships( friendships, romantic, and family). I realized on this journey that everyone can’t go with you to the next level. This was a challenge for me because relationships are a part of life, and we are created to be in relationship with others. Being separated from these relationships made me feel like I wouldn’t have the support needed to continue to pursue the dream and passion that was in my heart. But I am here today, and what I lost was replaced in others who were waiting for me at my next level.

Shanita Brown Empowers is a company that specializes in leadership development and training. We do this through coaching and consulting organizational leaders and their leadership teams. We are known for empowering and equipping individuals with the necessary tools to lead from a transformed and authentic place that produces desired results. I am most proud of this company because of the integrity and passion we have to develop, challenge, and train leaders to be authentic examples of what their organizations stand for. What sets us apart is our slogan, ” a better you begins with knowing you.” We don’t change individuals. We develop them into leading from untapped potential that leads to desired results.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
There are many, but the top characteristics that have been important to my success are self-awareness, emotional intelligence, integrity, authenticity, consistency, commitment, determination.
