Today we’d like to introduce you to Shantrell Williams.
Hi Shantrell, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Shantrell and at 25 I decided to open my own makeup/hair business and model at the same time, how I got to this point is that when I was in high school I told myself I always wanted to be in the hair/makeup industry! As time went by working for others I realized I wanted to run a business as well and that I could do it if I just worked hard and then of course at the age of 25 I decided to go for it! I’m 27 now and all I can say is always take chances and apply yourself! It’s been 2 years and my professional business Shantrella Cinderella has come so far thanks to friends and family support! My modeling career also took off as well which was great for me to promote myself and the products I’ve come up with! So happy I’ve come this far as a young mother of 3!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, nothing is always smooth sailing and of course, I hit some struggles along the way, some of them were losing friends and family along the way because they didn’t support what I was trying to do and thought it wasn’t a good idea. It’s ok though, everyone isn’t going to like you or your ideas but keep going it will pay off in the long run!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a professional cosmetologist and business owner, I specialize in everything from hair cuts to waxing, beard shaves and operate a flourishing business to help others feel confident in their style and to feel GREAT overall as a person. What sets me apart from others is that I want to genuinely make sure you’re taken cared of as a person and I can accomplish whatever look you are going for with confidence! I treat all my clients like family also and I genuinely love helping others! I’ve been known all over Dallas, Texas for my professionalism and work for such a young individual and I’m very happy that I have so much support from my city! I could never do this without everyone’s support!
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the support that Dallas offers and that it’s a fun fast-paced city for opportunities! The only thing I really dislike about Dallas is the traffic other than that I love Dallas, Tx.
