Meet Shaundale Johnson of All in A Day’s Work Consulting in Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaundale Johnson.

Shaundale, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Having dealt with the consequences of various personal choices, I simply decided to start over. All in A Day’s Work Consulting is the culmination of accepting my failures and living with my short-comings. I choose, daily, to simply get it done… whatever it is. From coaching to consulting, writing to editing, and being a radio talk show host to an independent jewelry consultant, I choose to get it done; and, I have absolute joy helping others get it done as well.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Finding my way has been anything but easy. Let me tell you… I grew up in a house where excellence was a requirement. I took over-achieving to the next level. In short, that means I have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I said it jokingly for decades that I am “self-diagnosed” OCD; however, after being rammed into a wall by “life’s happenings,” my primary care physician recommended I see a therapist.

As an African-American woman, seeing a therapist was never a thought. It’s just not what we are reared to do, to our own demise. And so, because I trusted my doctor—a middle-aged Asian woman I’d been a patient of for 15 years at that time—I went to therapy, and it saved my life.

In addition to learning that I definitely have OCD, which leads to unrealistic expectations that manifest as control, I also have post-traumatic triggers spanning from some childhood and adult experiences that sometimes lead to anxiety. While it doesn’t happen often, it still happens. And despite it happening, I still have to decide to do what is necessary—all in a day’s work. What “necessary” looks like for me and you may differ; however, necessary for me is what brings me the most joy and not the most money. Peace of mind is priceless, and my sanity is not for sale.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with All in A Day’s Work Consulting – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
All in A Day’s Work Consulting is a sounding board for all of my big ideas—the ones I was told are too big for me. Under its umbrella are: Journey to Journal Publishing, With the EXes! Talk Radio Show and Stony’s Gems. They are all an integral part of who I am. They mirror my strengths and strengthen my weaknesses. I am an innovator and a leader; All in A Day’s Work Consulting embodies my desire to help others live on purpose and die on empty by leaving it all on the table. No matter who you are, you were created for a purpose greater than yourself. You owe it to the world, and to yourself, to find out what that purpose is, and I would like to help in one of the following ways:

Journey to Journal Publishing – I believe everyone has a story to tell; let me help you write yours. As an Amazon Best-selling and an International Award-winning Author, I help other people tell their stories. As a certified editor, I polish up what they already have. And, as a publisher, I do both.

With the EXes! is a talk radio show that is committed to being the safe place to start hard conversations. Not all relationships are romantic, but they do all start with a conversation. We are a team of three: myself (@StonyRhodes), my husband (Derrick C. Johnson), and his ex-wife (LaKenya Moore). I am the host under my alter-ego—an unfiltered, captivating, and witty Stony Rhodes. Derrick is the show producer, and LaKenya is my guest co-host. Together, we aim to show others that growth is necessary and what it looks like. It is our weekly desire to have the necessary conversations to get the right people in the right relationships or to get people right in the relationships they’re in. Join us every Monday on Fishbowl Radio Network or on Facebook Live from 7pm-9pm CST.

Stony’s Gems is my personal Paparazzi Accessories jewelry line. I love to sparkle, so it’s very befitting that I would opt to look good on a budget and to share my experience and the opportunity with others. When you decide that your success will not come with the sacrificing of your state of mind, trust me, you prioritize your mental health without being asked to compromise. Remember, I do what brings me the most joy, not what makes me the most money. So, blinging on a budget works for me and countless others. I don’t want to work because I need money; I want to serve because I get to smile.

With an array of interests, talents, and professional experience, I am able to help others transform their thoughts and get moving. Together, we can walk through a variety of steps from business strategizing to personal development. If you want to write a book, I can help. If you want to find the money you’re leaving on the table after you’ve written one, I can help you. If you want to start a radio show, I can help you. If you want to bling while you do so, I can definitely help you! And, it will be my pleasure to do so. Because, after all, it is All in A Day’s Work.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
What I’m most looking forward to is meeting new people, creating new experiences, and continued growth. All in A Day’s Work Consulting is being positioned to make life easier for those who really want to simplify their roles and to get the most out of life. Being busy doesn’t mean you’re actually getting anything done, so consider that self-care is non-negotiable, and mental health is real. Do what must be done; just plan.

Speaking of planning, I’m also super-excited about the second book in my Sweet & Sour Series. Book one debuted this past June, “Second Time Around,” with rave reviews. So, I’m excited to see what surprises book two brings. I’m planning another #LiteraryLemonadeLaunch Party, as well as another With the EXes! Expert Relationship Panel. The book can be purchased on Amazon and read on Kindle. Reviews are welcomed!

In addition, I’m also looking forward to expanding Journey to Journal Publishing. We’re currently seeking people who are ready to tell their stories but may not be ready to write an entire book. “Sweet & Sour Chronicles” will consist of a collaboration of multiple authors with shared experiences in five (5) areas: Faith, Family, Finances, Friendships, and Failed Relationships. We are interested in 12 men and 12 women (to include two (2) couples, thereby creating 20 chapters that empower us to turn our not-so-good experiences into stories of success. If that is you, please contact me.

You may also contact me if you want to join a team of innovative, independent jewelry consultants. Paparazzi has been life-changing, and it gives me the freedom to make decisions I wouldn’t otherwise be able to. Financial freedom is the goal; however, taking it easy is my aim. Paparazzi allows me that option.
