Meet Sheila Clark of Sheila Clark Music/Band – “Sheila & The Caddo Kats” & Acoustic Duo-“Callens & Clark” in East

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheila Clark.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Sheila. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a singer, songwriter & play rhythm guitar & an Award Winning Nashville Recording Artist, Texas born & raised in the Caddo Lake area of East Texas. Started singing music when I was a little girl, my father was a music director & taught me some guitar & his father (my grandfather) was in a Gospel Quartet. I married at 14 years old & had my son, then, I started writing songs & raised my son. Then, at 18 years old, I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease… years were tough but after surgery & medications, it went in remission, after many years of songwriting & raising my family, I always put family first before I started pursuing my music career… I’ve met my producer & manager, Kenny out of Nashville, TN & started recording my songs I wrote for an album. Then, in 2014, I lost my late husband of 36 years to a massive heart attack he was 53 & all the stress threw the Crohns Disease active again to this day, but medication is helping to go back in remission again… I am looking at a January 2019 release of my new album called “Uncertain Texas”. I also have a band called “Sheila & The Caddo Kats” & Acoustic Duo called Callens & Clark.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it’s been a hard road… I lost my father in a car accident when I was 12 in 1976. Then, in 1983, I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease (inflammatory bowel disease), then my mom passed away with cancer in 2006 & in 2014, my late husband of 36 years passed away to a massive heart attack at 53 years old.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Sheila Clark Music, Band- “Sheila & The Caddo Kats” & Acoustic Duo-“Callens & Clark” – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Texas born & raised Singer/Songwriter & Rhythm Guitarist Award-winning Nashville Recording Artist… won Song of the year 2015 out of Holland for my song ‘Love is So right’… and nominated this year again thru The Josie Music Awards.

All that I have accomplished with the many bumps in the road & living with Crohns Disease.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’ performed at 2 CMA Fest in Nashville, N… I’ve also been nominated for 4 straight years in a row for awards thru the Josie Music Awards this year 4 that will be held in Pigeon Forge at Dollywood in September. Have several shows performing with my all acoustic band “Sheila & The Caddo Kats” & some shows with my acoustic duo called “Callens & Clark” that I’m looking forward, too.

My album also called “Uncertain Texas” will be released in January 2019…
