Meet Sierra Gee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Gee.

Hi Sierra, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Music has always been a thing for me, even when I was younger. I really didn’t start taking music serious until I got to high school. I use to record on old cassette player and karaoke machine I got for Christmas when I was younger. Once I got my first computer, I started teaching myself how to use DAW programs and how to use microphones. I’ve surrounded myself around music for about 12+ years now, I even help engineer other musicians’ music as well.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
You know, figuring things out on your own is very challenging, especially when you don’t have all the resources to do so. But as long as you apply yourself to your craft every day, you can make anything happen. I’ve haven’t had any major struggles or impossible hurdles to jump over. I’ve always found an alternative route to every problem I encounter.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an Alternative Rnb artist and music engineer; some days, I even consider myself a secret A&R. I’m always on the hunt to find new artist and new music for people to listen to. I’ve always had an ear nobody else has. My friends send me their music all the time, and I provide them good feedback. I am most known for as an artist and my craft. I’m most proud of my accomplishments as artist, I recently hit 15k streams on a current song of mines “Say My Name”, my intentional goal was only 5k. But I’m blessed to be able to reach that amount in a week. The thing that sets me apart from others is my work ethic, nobody works harder than me, nobody hears what I hear in music. I stay up late every night perfecting my craft and music.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me would be accomplishing all of your goals. Not letting anyone or anything get in the way of you chasing your dreams.
