Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Beach.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have taught art on some level for close to twenty years, privately and in the classroom.
A native Texan, I attended Tarleton State University for my Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduating, I lived in Boston, MA for close to twelve years. There, I worked in an art gallery, taught art, and received my master’s degree. My husband and I moved home to Texas about five years ago. I have a wonderful studio space in my Fort Worth home and have been able to build up my art business there as I stay at home with my young children.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I believe that life has a way of leading us to the ideal situation when we have faith. While I believed that teaching full time was necessary for our family, the alternative of staying home presented itself as we expected our second baby. I have been blessed to live in a wonderful neighborhood that promotes and supports local small businesses.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I have an art business/studio located in my home. I teach private art lessons, conduct kid art camps, host painting with twist parties, and paint oil commissions upon request. I provide a small, structured environment for these classes that I believe is helpful for children to learn. With regard to the painting with twist parties, I provide a more intimate setting for women to bring a small group of friends for a fun evening.
What were you like growing up?
I have always been a very outgoing and energetic person. I have always LOVED to learn and teach. Art has always been a primary passion of mine.

- Private lessons – $25 per hour
- Painting with a Twist Class – $25 per person
- Commissioned paintings range – $90 – $600
