Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Reid.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Stephanie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I left my non-profit position to stay home with my second child. My Dad asked me if I wanted to start flipping houses with him. I thought, great! It will be just like it is on TV. The first flip house was a total disaster, but things quickly got better from there. Eventually, I branched off and started my own company.
Reconnecting with an old friend Quincy Holloway from college set things onto another path I didn’t expect and I couldn’t be happier. Quincy already had 3 Billion Renewable Energy and we recently launched 3 Billion Real Estate Services together.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think there are always challenges being one of few women in a male-dominated industry, like construction. But for me, it is important to surround myself with great people, great mentors and great women. My first remodel was such a mess. But once I educated myself and built my own team, I was able to design and create something I could be proud of.
Please tell us about Stephanie Reid Company – what should we know?
As Stephanie Reid Company, I remodel houses for investors. I’m known for a high-end design for low-cost. I’m an investor as well. I know that investors are looking for a quick remodel with the fewest days on market. I create a beautifully remodeled home in the shortest amount of time possible without breaking the bank.
As 3 Billion Real Estate Services, we work with commercial real estate property owners to make their buildings energy-efficient, make their businesses become a sustainability leader and create multiple revenue streams for their properties.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I credit the people around me for my success. I’ve been very lucky to have excellent mentors, friends and team members that have taught me so much. They’re the ones that build my business.
