Today we’d like to introduce you to Takaria Nash.
Takaria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I always get asked how I started modeling, I guess I’ll answer now. Back in college, I put my last $20 in my gas tank and drove to an agency casting where I got a callback. From there, my agent had me walking for designers like Samantha Black NYC and Tashee. I took a short break but during the break, I still studied and practiced. I’ve taken runway lessons from Mandy Lieveld as well. So all of that mixed with hard work and dedication is how I got to where I am today.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Consistency has been my biggest struggle along the way.
What else should our readers know?
I try to stay close to natural as possible with my shoots, my look, and my brand.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Modeling for my bestfriend Andrea with the clothes she made.
