Amy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I always had a dream. A dream to create something that no one else has ever made before – a dream to become an inventor. I had another dream – a dream to open a shop. Both of those dreams were realized when I created an Instant Pot Removable Wrap and opened my own website! The product took off and I sold 1,000 wraps in the first three months and another 1,000 wraps the next MONTH!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. There was a very long development phase in the beginning. Then, there was the realization that I alone could not keep up with production and had to hire people. And the big challenge was realizing I needed to patent my invention and the legal process has been tedious.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about All Wrapped Up IP – what should we know?
I am known for creating beautiful removable Instant Pot or pressure cooker wraps. These wraps are removable, can be wiped down and can be swapped out for each season or mood. My product is totally unique and has never been done before. I am so proud to be adding personality and art to each of my customer’s kitchens as well as providing valuable employment for my staff.
What’s the most important piece of advice you could give to a young woman just starting her career?
Do what you like to do. Don’t waste time at a desk being bored for years. Chase your dreams, even if that means sweat and tears. Do not give up. Also, find surround yourself with people who will support you when you feel like giving up! You need a strong army behind.
