Today we’d like to introduce you to Breauna Rhian.
Breauna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in my grandparent’s barbershop in downtown Mesquite till the age of 13.
I then went onto obsessing over hair myself as I got older, when I was 18 fresh out of high school, I got an internship with An Extension specialist and attended Aveda Insitute Dallas. After receiving my license, I went onto furthering my career in a specializing salon where I gained most clientele who then followed me to opening my own business in November 2017. In August of 2017, I was introduced to BELLAMI HAIR PRO who helped grow my extension business.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting your own business is never easy. The first year is always the hardest. Growing up, my mom owned her own company and I got to watch her overcome some of the hardest things. Battling being a mom and a business owner is probably the biggest struggle I know. Making sure you are setting a good example for your kids and providing for them as well. I have a stepdaughter and a 4-month-old baby girl and being a mom first then my career is a struggle but I use my faith to hold me up and my amazing fiancé to support.
We’d love to hear more about Angel Hair Extensions.
Hair extensions are definitely my specialty. I set apart from others because a lot of people find one Extension system they love and stick with it. But I love them all, so I offer four different types (k-tip, I-TIP, TAPE, WEFT) for different hair types so everyone can feel comfortable in their hair extensions. I look for growth, strength, and life in all my client’s hair.
I also specialize in color matching, blending, Blonding, balayage, Brazilian blowouts.
We’re interested to hear your thoughts on female leadership – in particular, what do you feel are the biggest barriers or obstacles?
In my industry, specifically, there are more women then men, but the way I look at it is, it is what you make it and if you work really hard and keep your focus right, you will be successful male or female.
