I am passionate about all-things-glam and dedicated to creating exquisite hairstyles and makeup looks for every style and occasion. I am a freelance makeup artist, that loves reviewing products, giving lessons and tutorials on the most recent trends. From the beginning, I have always been obsessed with makeup, hair, and fashion.
Growing up, I would beautify my friends and family applying their makeup and styling there hair for special occasions. I did this for years until my hobby began filling my weekends.
My passion for my craft began to open up so many opportunities. April 2016, I started House of Tesla Hair & Makeup and began my blog HouseofTesla.com. On the blog, you can find beauty – tutorials and recommendations, lifestyle and fashion tips and tricks.
Has it been a smooth road?
My advice for anyone who has a passion is say yes to opportunity, even if you are scared or uncomfortable. I would say you want to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. There is so much growth that comes from fear, you learn so much about yourself. Before I started House of Tesla, I prayed A LOT about my passion and my path. I really wanted this venture to be about bringing joy to people and helping the community.
I love donating my services to our local charities in Fort Worth. My very first donation event I donated my services to was with Cancer Care Services – Night of Beauty. I provided makeup and makeovers to over 30 women who were cancer survivors and fighters. I was nervous and wanted to make these women feel beautiful and strong. This is where my second bit of advice comes in, I always pray for each of my clients as I am on my way to the event. It calms me, it makes me focus on my client’s needs and brings joy to my heart to pray for my clients special day and for their confidence.
I plan on continuing my volunteering and service donation by giving back to our community. Having House of Tesla has given me more confidence and drive than I have ever felt in my life. Sharing my techniques and my passion, while giving my clients confidence and self-love is my love language. I love sharing my tips with my clients. I get to make my clients feel beautiful and there is something that makes you feel empowered when you feel good.

One of my favorite services to offer my clients is our Makeup Bag Makeovers. This is a makeup lesson using the products and brushes you have in your makeup bag. You get 2 looks with this lesson, one a day look and then we transition that day look to an evening look. I use the products you have and show you how to use them. I will make recommendations from my kit of items that I think would enhance your makeup bag. This is a lesson customized just for you and your skin type. I also take into account budget. I offer recommendations from drugstore to high-end depending on your specific budget. I have found many of my clients like makeup and have a bag full of it, but they are either intimidated by it or feel they don’t have the right techniques to pull off a look they want.
House of Tesla is known for our HD Airbrush makeup and lash package as well. If you need makeup for your wedding day or special event HD airbrush makeup provides you with a flawless long lasting look. With airbrush makeup, your photographs are simply stunning.
So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
I do I feel women, especially in today’s climate, have a huge opportunity. People often ask about the name of my company House of Tesla Hair & Makeup and where it comes from, The name actually came from the Genius inventor Nikola Tesla. He stated “But the female mind has demonstrated a capacity for all the mental acquirements and achievements of men, and as generations ensue that capacity will be expanded; the average woman will be as well educated as the average man, and then better educated, for the dormant faculties of her brain will be stimulated to an activity that will be all the more intense and powerful because of centuries of repose. A woman will ignore precedent and startle civilization with their progress.” Now, I know Mr. Tesla was not a huge fan of women’s rights, but he did acknowledge our power and our drive in a time when women were struggling in the power department. I feel that women are powerful we are strong and we have so much to offer, we think with our brains and our hearts and that is something that is a powerful combination.
I would say, there are so many opportunities for women right now to work together! I truly believe we are a force to be reckoned with when we come together and we lift each other up. I believe if you have a passion and you can find like-minded women who are passionate and driven collaborate with them! Learn from each other promote each other’s crafts. There is enough to go around, trust me. I have been collaborating with so many different women and I have benefited greatly from learning valuable business ideas or creative marketing plans. Not to mention the friendships and the mentorships that have been created. When you have strong women who are on your side and lifting you up, you gain confidence and when a woman has a little bit of confidence she is a force to be reckoned with.
