Meet Trailblazer Jasmine Lynn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Lynn.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
According to my family, I was always a little fashionista fancy girl, who enjoyed playing with dolls, dressing up in a lace dress to climb a tree, having lip gloss available at all times and keeping my toes painted (my mom would not allow nails until I was about 11 years old).

My education ranged from Dallas to Waxahachie to finally Lancaster public schools where I graduated in 2009. School was not hard for me, but I was very spoiled. Also, got in some trouble & plenty fights so I did not even get to walk across the stage. I had to pick my diploma up…

I’ve always loved helping people; especially little people, so I attended Northwestern State University with a pediatric nursing major. My first son was born, during my first year and I came back to Texas determined to continue to be successful and hopefully help others with my career. Going from call center to call center, club to club and nothing was consistent or made me happy to go to work every day.

Today… I am the owner of “Dipped in Jasz” and “Jazzie Kids Spa Parties d.b.a. Dipped in Jasz.” My endeavors include not only celebrity clients but my true passion of helping elderly and little girls feel special by doing nursing home residents’ manicures part-time and mani/pedi parties for little girls as much as possible.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Life is not an easy period. There will always be obstacles. Every situation is meant to teach you something new; no matter how positive or painful it may be.

My advice… believe in yourself and believe that what God has stored away for you, has your name on it and no one else’s. Whether you receive it today or 12 years from today, it’s yours.

My advice… you are not alone even when you feel like no one understands. Everyone reacts to things differently, and my reaction has usually been angry outbursts, but I learned if you take all that angry and negative energy and focus it towards a positive goal, you’ll achieve more than you ever could have expected.

We’d love to hear more about Dipped In Jasz.
If I could describe my craft, I would say I have a classy & jazzy style in nails as well as the flashy extra side. A client favorite is the Ice Me Out Set. This is typically a birthday, fashion show, photo shoot nail set… very shiny & bling out.

I have four children, I was blessed with three boys & one girl! So, I started Jazzy Kids Spa Parties. It’s very popular for little girl birthdays. It includes manicures, pedicures, facials, custom robes & so much more.

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
Girls run the world PERIOD! From the Federal government to fashion designers to your favorite local rapper, hair stylist, bakers, make up artist and nail technicians! It’s like Michelle (Obama) left us with a desire to be better than we’ve ever been before IN SPITE OF and to become the destiny-owners we were meant to be. We are Evolving, Supporting and Becoming!
