Meet Trailblazer Jennifer De La Cruz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer De La Cruz.

Jennifer, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a mom and a wife at first I had no dreams and no vision. I knew in my heart that this wasn’t the life I wanted to live. I was once depressed with no one to share with. In school trying to survive every single day with my homework and taking care of my little ones at the same time. Until one day,  I realized enough is enough I am worth more than what i thought. I have to make a changed. I started as an entrepreneur I run my own business through my phone. A year later after having some experience, I realize how passionate I was becoming to help my community. We serve our community delicious smoothies and teas. I love what I do and the smile at the end means so much to me. I knew in my heart that I live to help people and make a changed I just didn’t know how.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been an easy road. I had some obstacles in my way that challenged me. I had to ask myself multiple times if I was making a difference. Have I been a good example to my followers? Do I admire someone? These kinds of questions, I ask myself in the morning when I wake up. I had times when I wonder who was I and what am I capable of. Different personalities is one of the challenges I had to face. Then, I realized I had come this far and I am still working on myself, I am not perfect, but my “why” remains the same and strong. I do this for my daughters, I want the best for them. As long as I accomplished something at the end of the day make someone’s day, that’s what really counts. You just never know who is watching. We have to make sure we are consistent. You are going to face a lot of challenges you will realized you have to get stronger and remind yourself: the bigger the goal, the bigger the challenge and struggle. You can conquer anything, just have to have a good mindset and remain focus.

We’d love to hear more about entrepreneur and a business owner of 303 Nutrition.
A lot of people know I have my business, but most of you don’t know, I have my full-time job. I am a TA for Inclusion preparing myself to fully qualify. I work with special needs scholars, I love my kids and I strongly believe no kids left behind. Working in my nutrition club, I make sure I do the same with my business partners, no one is left behind. Our jobs is to make sure our community consumes delicious smoothies that are under 300 hundred calories and energy teas. Our mission to help one person at a time live healthier and happier. I am so proud of it!

Which women have inspired you in your life?
I would have to say Michelle Obama and Ellen DeGeneres they selfless and always helping their community. I have admired that about them and they work on others to ensure they are really taken care of and lift up others. Ellen said the other day it doesn’t matter who we are and what we believe at the end of the day we have respect for each other and although we have our difference on our beliefs we are the same. We have one vision and when we work together our voices matter.
