Today we’d like to introduce you to Martha (Marty) Reed.
Martha (Marty), can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was greatly inspired by my father, the late Rev.BW Hubbard. He raised me to be the woman I am today.
Inspir-U was birthed from my life experiences and the compassion I have for others. As a child, I always wanted to help people that were down in some shape or form.
I’ve found my purpose is to help individuals to tap- in into places and spaces within them through their inner resources to become better individuals in their personal and professional lives
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. I have taken what I have learned throughout my life experiences and am applying those lessons by staying focused and not giving up when things are not progressing as I think it should be.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
What do you do? I have been a life coach and motivational speaker for 10+ years. I aid business owners and individuals in their need for motivation and inspiration to execute their dreams and ideas. I aim to equip, encourage and inspire people to take meaningful action throughout their journey and tap-in and gain freedom.
What do you specialize in? I specialize in helping my clients to discover the reasons behind their past decisions and provide them with practical tools for self-improvement. I do that by tapping into places and spaces of an individual that they are not aware of. Therefore, they understand why they do some of the things that they do in a day-to day life.
What are you know for? Being truthful and authentic.
What are you most proud of as a brand, organization or service provider?
I am most proud of the self-fulfilling benefit that my clients experience from our interactions. They begin to see themselves as empowered individuals who make better choices in their lives.
What sets you apart from others? I counsel from my own personal experience, education, and life challenges. Inspir-U services are tailored to each individual and address their own goals and objectives. I listen, I hear, I care…I am here to Inspir-U! We’ll travel.
We’re interested to hear your thoughts on female leadership – in particular, what do you feel are the biggest barriers or obstacles?
Never be afraid to fail. You must use each setback as a stepping stone or lesson learned to accomplish your dreams. Finally, Never Give Up!
Know yourself and why you have chosen what you want to pursue. Evaluate the decisions that you make and understand the why behind it. Do not be a copycat; be authentic! Don’t be content with what you have been conditioned to do from your parent’s environment.
Spend time with yourself and get to know what you want.
