Meet Wendy Cortes & Danielle Glover of Blip n Time

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Cortes & Danielle Glover. 

Hi Wendy & Danielle, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, we are Wendy Cortes and Danielle Glover. We are sister-in-laws! We like to just drop off the “in-laws” and just say sisters. We are the creator and owners of Blip n Time. 

Before we started our business, we were both thinking about our next journey without one or the other knowing. We were even looking to start a new adventure on our own sometime soon. During the beginning of the summer, we both attended the same event where they had a photo booth with a beautiful rose backdrop. It was such a great experience we fell in love with the idea. Weeks later we were still talking about it. We started playing with the idea of having a photo booth and what all we could do with it. Most importantly how much fun we would have creating such a great experience together. 

For a while, we were both feeling the dread of our 9 to 5 job. We were both in positions where others depended on us at any or all hours of the day. Working 24/7 for a company that was receiving the ultimate rewards just didn’t seem right So, next thing you know I was Blip and she was Time. we decided to make that big jump together. If I fail, she fails and if I succeed, she succeeds and vice versa. 

We are both so different yet that is what makes us such a great duo. The only similarity is that we both have the drive to follow our passions. We are providing a service that fits our vision and being able to be creative, fun, and work with my sister has been a blessing. 

Owning our business has been a challenge but we are really excited, we are one step closer to receiving the ultimate rewards and it feels so good. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a business from the ground up is not easy, takes money, time, and dedication. Putting our name out there and creating a following has been a slow process for us. No one really knows who we are, what we are about, or what type of service we are going to provide. On every booking we get we make sure to go above and beyond to meet our clients’ expectations. To give them that wow factor so they remember our name and pass it on. 

We’ve been impressed with Blip n Time, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Blip n Time provides a custom photo booth rental. We offer a Photo Booth set up for Corporate Events, Weddings, Quinceañeras, Sweet 16’s, Birthday Parties, or any event that requires a blipntime. 

Our photo booth is also a great tool to use for marketing your business at a local or regional community event, grand opening, expo, convention, or any special event. We offer custom branding packages that include custom overlay templates, customized screen, branded landing pages, we link all business contact info, website, social media accounts and so much more. 

We want Blip n Time not only to be a photo booth but to be a fun and interactive experience. To capture those smiling, laughing moments and to bring nothing but a good time. 

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking?
Just like many others, we didn’t really have the choice to just quit our job. We both have families and have been employed since we were in our teens so we didn’t know any different. We were so busy and focused on our day-to-day life, building our families and making sure we were there for our kids which took priority. Fast forward to many, many, many years later we made the choice to quit our jobs that we both had been at for a little over 10 years each. Fortunately, we have very supportive husbands that knew we were meant for so much more so we took the risk and we took it together.
