Wendy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Bliss Off the Rack started as what we liked to call an Angel Program. At our main salon, Bliss Bridal Salon, a bride that needed a little extra help in a short amount of time was called an Angel Case to us. We found that many stores would tell brides that they were unable to help them due to timeframe and/or budget and having just been a bride myself, those were definitely not words I would have wanted to hear. As a smaller boutique within Bliss, we offer brides gowns available Off the Rack and available to go home with them “that day” so that timeframe no longer becomes an issue. We also offer the same brands of designer gowns that our larger store carries but at a #designeronadime price point so that we can help accommodate brides that may have a smaller budget than is available in the main salon for gowns that are ordered specifically for them. We have encountered some wonderful stories and helped make dreams come true since we began and look forward to meeting new brides, each and every day.
Has it been a smooth road?
Separating ourselves from the main salon and creating a brand of our own has been a bit of a struggle but the brand recognition has also helped brides feel more at ease. Often cases a bride will come in looking to order a gown and be pleasantly surprised that we know “the one” and it’s a great fit at an even more amazing price. In these cases, the closeness of the mini boutique within the main salon is to a bride’s advantage!

Bliss Off the Rack specializes in helping brides with a wedding date or price point that may preclude them from purchasing a gown in a normal retail environment due to the 4-6 month ordering timeline for most bridal gowns. We help by offering a selection of over 100 gowns available to take home that day and relieve the stress of “will my gown arrive in time”. On the flip side, if we do not stock a brides particular size, we will also go the extra mile and check stock with designers on each and every gown that a bride tries on to ensure that we can get it in time and make miracle happen when other stores might simply say “your wedding is too close”. We do everything that we possibly can to help a bride find her dream gown!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
We find that the wedding community in Fort Worth is close knit and works well together. So much so that we happily call home to the Handley Wedding District in East Fort Worth along with other vendors such as Tami Winn Events, Justine’s Flowers, Peyronet Photography, Creme de la Creme, Paper Planet, Kate Foley Designs and Its Your Night entertainment, to name a few, so that a bride can literally plan her wedding, all in one city block!
