Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Jaynes.
So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started a couple of years ago when my grandmother was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Although she was at a stage where a cure was not possible, we still were in search of something more natural to help with relief throughout her battle which is when we started to research the benefits of CBD for her to incorporate in her remaining days and all collaborated on the idea as a family in our living room.
After building a ton of awareness around CBD and incorporating it into our entire family’s daily routine, we were confident this could be a product that so many people could benefit from and think, why not create a business out of it? We all live a very active, and healthy lifestyle and CBD plays a huge role in that.
From there, we started to dive into what it took to build a business in the industry. Being that there are still a ton of restrictions and legalities, there are tons of hurdles and challenges that come with setting up a CBD business. From making sure our product was manufactured properly and third-party tested for purity and legality purposes to getting our website built, merchant accounts set up and more… there is a lot more to it than most people understand. We have been putting in a ton of work within our family since October of 2018 and we were able to launch the business in August of 2019. While being a start-up we have learned a ton and are continuing to grow as we navigate this industry and one of our main goals is to be more than just your typical CBD company. We are a tribe, a community, a lifestyle. Whether you are a busy parent, overworked entrepreneur, or young college student grinding through school, we have something for you and hope to continue meeting a variety of individuals’ needs.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not! Starting a business always comes with learning curves, hurdles, mistakes and more! Every day, we learn something new and try to improve! Being in the CBD industry has its challenges in itself due to all the restrictions and a big one being, marketing. From where and how to sell your product, what types of advertising you are allowed to do, what you can say and how you can say it… it is all very limited even though CBD is legal therefore requires us to be extra creative in how to build our brand and get the word out about who we are and why you should give us a try.

We are a company that sells premium CBD products- but we aren’t just your typical CBD company. We are a brand. A lifestyle. A tribe. We want to be in every family medicine cabinets as a go-to for a variety of their personal needs. We have something for everyone whether you struggle in getting a quality night’s rest, tend to be overwhelmed from heavy days of work to just wanting overall relief with an interesting in bettering your everyday wellness- we got you! I think that is really important knowing that we are so involved and take pride in providing quality products and building relationships rather than just caring about making a sale.

What were you like growing up?
I have always been a go-getter, very disciplined, and I have the personality of when I know what I want, I am going to go get it. I grew up playing sports all my life and then eventually focused on soccer where I was blessed to travel the world playing on the regional team and eventually making it on the US Youth National team. I earned a scholarship to play for The University of Texas where I lettered all four years and earned my degree. Being that I was such a competitive athlete, I think it instilled a ton of qualities and interests I still have today in the health and wellness industry and as an entrepreneur. I am one of the hardest workers you will ever meet therefore being an entrepreneur has always been an interest of mine. I am also very independent and love grinding for something that I have to earn because seeing that work pay off is rewarding and being in complete control of my own destiny is motivating which is why I have always strived to be “self-employed”. Corporate world was never for me- not knocking that lifestyle, I just never felt my personality fit that life.
I have always been very active and interested in working out, eating healthy, and implementing a holistic, non-toxic lifestyle and because those are my personal passions, I love to share that with others. I have owned a gym and am still a group fitness instructor, I am a certified holistic health coach, and then I am the president of Hemp Lyfe, all health-related in some form so it has been really cool to build my skill sets in a variety of roles.
