Meet Whitney Kutch of HelloWhitney.com

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Kutch.

Whitney, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in Tyler, TX as a competitive dancer always believing I would grow up to be a Rangerette then a Rockette in NYC. That all changed when I received a scholarship at Texas A&M in the school of Engineering. I’m both creative and analytical which resulted in a string of multiple careers from an Engineer (analytical), to owning a Medspa (entrepreneurial), to finally stepping into my creative space – Hello Whitney: a lifestyle blog that celebrates individuality, empowering women, healthy lifestyle, fashion, and all the good things life has to offer. I have lived in Dallas for 10 years with my husband and best friend Clay and our 3 furbabies: Dixie, Sally and Bob.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
After being bullied in high school and a competitive dancer for 20 years, I struggled with both bulimia and anorexia for almost 2 decades. I am now a board member for the Elisa Project, an organization that focuses on eating disorder advocacy and education.

I openly share my battle with the disease, but also how the journey of recovery (albeit hard) has been the best ride of my life! I want to shine light and positivity of “life after disease” so people can envision their future being bright, bold, and beautiful!

Starting my blog, Hello Whitney, was crazy scary because I was fearful of being judged and critiqued. However, even though some bumps along the way, my blog has empowered me to find my confidence again and boldly share my unique voice, style, and outlook on life. The first thing I did before publishing my very first post was a vow to never be anyone else but who God created me to be.

HelloWhitney.com – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Hello, Whitney is a Lifestyle & Fashion Blog designed to encourage others to express their unique spin on fashion, beauty, food and fitness. Sadly, in the world of fashion blogging, images have taken the place of stories. I believe if pictures are worth a thousand words, then the content and story BEHIND the photos is worth millions.

I’m extremely proud of recently being nominated and recognized by esteemed FGI (Fashion Group International) as one of three Rising Stars in the fashion blog category.

What makes me different is my passion for fashion is trumped by the story behind the outfit. I’m on a mission to infuse my personality, confidence and empowerment in every outlet I publish.

“Style without life is just an outfit without inspiration. Create your lifestyle and wear it boldly.”
~ Whitney Kutch, Hello Whitney

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I measure success by 3 factors:

1. Am I fulfilling God’s life purpose with the gifts He gave me?
2. Am I loving my husband, family, and friends (in that order) with my whole heart and soul?
3. Am I inspiring others to live and express themselves authentically in a physical, emotional, and spiritual way?

If I can answer “yes” to all 3 questions above, I’m the most successful person in the world!
